EN: Often considered the best player in the world and rated by many in the sport as the greatest of all time, Cristina Neagu is the only female handball player in history to win four IHF World Player of the Year awards (in 2010, 2015, 2016 and 2018). She also won the EHF Player of the Year award in 2017 and 2018 (a record!). She has been selected to the All-EHF Champions League All-Star Team seven times (2015–18 and 2020–22).
Coming from a modest neighborhood in Bucharest, Cristina put her passion for handball above everything else. It was a decision that meant huge sacrifices, but she succeeded in transforming herself from a young hope into the star player that she is today. Ambition and determination were the key ingredients for her transformation, Cristina reaching the status of a role model for the younger generation, for both fans of handball but also simple admirers, captured by her will and her way of adapting to the environment. Becoming European Championship’s all-time leader in goals scored (303), she was the 2015 World Championship top-scorer and was named MVP of the tournament. She also finished as the top scorer of the EHF Champions League in the 2014–15, 2017–18 and 2021–22 seasons. Cristina Neagu was given the “Honorary Citizen” award of the city of Bucharest in 2017.
RO: Considerată cea mai bună jucătoare de handbal din lume și una dintre cele mai mari sportive din toate timpurile, Cristina Neagu este singura handbalistă din istorie care a câștigat patru premii IHF World Player of the Year (în 2010, 2015, 2016 și 2018). De asemenea, a câștigat premiul EHF Player of the Year în 2017 și 2018 (un record!). Ea a fost selectată de șapte ori în All-EHF Champions League All-Star Team (2015-18 și 2020-22).
Venind dintr-un cartier modest al Bucureștiului, Cristina a pus pasiunea pentru handbal mai presus de orice. A fost o decizie care a însemnat sacrificii uriașe, dar a reușit să se transforme dintr-o tânără speranță în jucătoarea vedetă care este astăzi. Ambiția și determinarea au fost ingredientele cheie ale transformării sale, Cristina ajungând la statutul de model pentru tânăra generație, atât pentru fanii handbalului, dar și pentru simpli admiratori, captați de voința și modul său de adaptare la mediu. Devenind liderul all-time al Campionatului European la goluri marcate (303), ea a fost cea mai bună marcatoare a Campionatului Mondial din 2015 și a fost desemnată MVP al turneului. De asemenea, a terminat drept cea mai bună marcatoare a Ligii Campionilor EHF în sezoanele 2014-15, 2017-18 și 2021-22. Cristina Neagu a primit distincția de „Cetățean de onoare” al orașului București în 2017.

EN: Melania Țucureanu forces the boundaries of imagination, looking for new inspiration. She imagines tiny worlds where objects lose or alter their attributes and characters are removed from their contexts and become active parts of new scenarios. Illustrating words and narrating pictures, daydreaming, collecting fairytales, she finds inspiration in the most unexpected places. A graduate of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca and of a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and Critical Thinking in the Faculty of Philosophy of Bucharest, Melania Țucureanu is currently engaged in a ferocious battle with Analytical Philosophy, being driven by countless epistemic aspirations. She is interested in images and their ontological status and as a fearless explorer and constant dreamer, she is likely to fall into real epistemic migraines in a neverending game involving art and philosophy.
RO: Melania Țucureanu forțează limitele imaginarului și este într-o continuă căutare. Crează lumi mici, unde obiectele își pierd sau modifică proprietățile, iar personajele sunt scoase context și integrate în noi scenarii. Ilustrând cuvinte și povestind imagini, visând cu ochii deschiși, colecționând povești, își găsește inspirația în cele mai neașteptate locuri. Absolventă a Universității de Artă și Design din Cluj-Napoca și a unui Masterat de Filosofie și Gândire Critică, în cadrul Facultății de Filosofie din București, Melania Țucureanu este în prezent angrenată într-o luptă crâncenă cu Filosofia Analitică, fiind motivată de nenumărate aspirații epistemice. Interesată de imagini și statutul lor ontologic, scormonitoare neînfricată și visătoare de cursă lungă, are toate șansele să fie victima unor reale migrene epistemice într-o joacă nesfârșită de-a arta și filosofia.
